Web Planner: URL parameters missing
In Progress
When plotting a route if you insert an empty mid or end point in the itinerary the URL reverts to the value: "https://web.locusmap.app/en/plan" . The map center latitude and longitude and zoom level are absent and remain absent until you either zoom in/out, drag the map or change its size.
I think this behaviour started happening in a recent release - not sure which but maybe 1.56.0 or 1.56.1. Before that I believe it worked OK and always displayed map center lat/lng and zoom.
Hi,
the devs have been investigating the issue. Thanks for reporting it.

Hi,
I found another URL related issue so I'll add it to this issue as its probably in the same area. I think it started after latest changes, and worked OK before but can't verify that now.
When the visible map size changes the map center URL does not always change correctly to reflect the changed map center position.
In the latest changes the URL lat/lng values are exactly preserved when zooming without the map moving - which is correct. If you drag/move the map then the URL map center Lat/Lng are recalculated from the screen position - correct.
But also if the user does something else which causes the map to move or resize then again the map center URL coordinates should be recalculated to reflect the new map center - if it has actually changed.
I can see the following cases (might be more but I don't know of any):
1/ Open (or close) the itinerary sidebar.
The map 'origin' (top/left corner) does not change - the map is pushed rightwards (or leftwards). The horizontal size decreases (or increases). The map-center moves, but the URL does not change.
2/ Open (or close) the elevation chart.
The map origin does not move. The chart 'slides' over the map. The map vertical size decreases (or increases). The map-center moves but the URL does not change.
3/ Resize the browser window.
The map size changes but the map-center does not move. The map is equally cropped at top/bottom right/left. The map-center URL does not change.
4/ Resize the map window - for example press PF12 and change the inspect window size. Same as 3/
So I think cases 1/ and 2/ are incorrect whilst 3/ and 4/ are correct.
The consequence of this varies depending what you use the map center coordinates for, from zero to quite a lot.

Another case where the displayed map center coordinates are not updated:-
When plotting a route if you add a point by searching for either a Lopoint, or enter a Lat/Lng ( e.g. by pasting it in) using the itinerary insertion box and select a point from there, then this causes the map to move and the zoom to change so that all the route is on-screen and centered.
This causes:
1/ When you create the insertion box the URL reverts to "https://web.locusmap.app/en/plan" as described above.
2/ Then when you choose the point either by search or enter Lat/Lng this cause the map center to move - URL coordinates/zoom now re-appear but the coordinates displayed are those before the map moved so are wrong. The zoom shown is updated correctly.
The common theme of the three described incorrect cases seems to be that if the map center moves because of some indirect action (other than dragging the map), then the URL coordinates are not updated.
