Recalculation without request
Need Answer
When I import a predefined route with waypoints into LM Web Planner, I do NOT want the web planner or the app to reroute this route in places, even if I only add one waypoint later! There's a reason why I define a route this way and not another, and I want to be able to rely on the route being adopted exactly as I defined it – even if I subsequently add or move a waypoint in the web planner – WITHOUT a recalculation or something similar!
It's unusable as it is now!
It's great that warnings like a hazard are also announced – I managed that, but it shouldn't be the case that the route is changed just because I added this point to the route!
Here's my take on "routes" and "tracks" - a route (generally) only has a small number of fixed (via & shaping) points along the way. Obviously the start & end point, and sometimes nothing in between. It may have a point at each turn. On the other hand, a recorded track has very regular points, sometimes every 100m & also with a timestamp. So you can image, with an imported route, in the most basic case with just a start & end point, the planner has no choice but to guess the route, based on its current routing rules. If you open the GPX file as text, you can check this for yourself. Do you have a copy of the original "predefined route with waypoints"?
As an experiment, load the route in BRouter https://brouter.m11n.de/ & here you can decide on the frequency of auto-via (shaping) points.
