Language mixed

Locus Map is translated by its users-volunteers in a crowdsourcing project, Crowdin (more info). At the moment, around 600 words aren't translated into German and are awaiting translation which results in this mix of languages. If you join the translation project, you'll be welcomed and your help rewarded at the end of the year (LoCoins, Premium vouchers...)

HI Georg, please install the latest beta version from our public repo at https://bit.ly/lmVersionsTest and test this problem again. I've been told that there is a language bug in version 4.31.3. Nevertheless, the info about missing translations is true, too.

thank you, route planner is much better localized now :-)

I registered in crowdin and improved some translations.

In router configuration texts, following was unexpected

• Profile configuration texts "Average speed on flat ground" and "Relaxed ride" and "Sporty ride": I cannot find them in crowdin. Funny enough, 2 of the 3 are already translated to DE for profile "Walking", 1/3 for "Hiking", and 0/3 for "Touring" + "MTB" + "Gravel". For these, can you please name file and key?
• Profile "Gravel" is translated to "Kies" but everyone says "gravel bike". I can't find "Gravel" in crowdin. Can you please name file and key?

In track chart, "Altitude" is shown in DE instead of "Höhe", but I can't find "Altitude" in crowdin besides key pref_units_altitude which already is translated. Is it possible that track chart title is not using a translation key? If yes, could you please check the same for chart title "Power"?

Hi Michal, after working on this ticket, this catched my attention in v4.36.0:

The mix of EN and DE is weird. If Locus was using language setting = EN, I'd expect that all terms are EN. If Locus was using DE, I would expect more strings in DE because according to https://crowdin.com/editor/menion

• "Sensors manager" is translated to "Sensor-Manager", key sen_sensors_manager, File: Sensors support, V2
• "Connected" to "Verbunden", key connected File: Locus, basic (required general texts)
• "Reported values" to "Gemeldete Werte" key sen_reported_values File: Sensors support, V2
• "Unknown" to "Unbekannt", key unknown File: Locus, basic (required general texts)
• "Disconnect" to "Verbindung trennen" key sen_disconnect File: Sensors support, V2

Any ideas?

the route planner strings have recently been fully updated and will be available in the next app beta version (probably at the end of this week).

As for the mixed language in the sensor manager, I've notified my colleagues in charge.

Georg, was the latest screenshot taken immediately after the change of the app language or did you kill/restart the app meanwhile?
