Wear OS 2026

Hello,

I’m trying to use Locus Map Watch with a new Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 (Wear OS) and a current Samsung Galaxy S26 smartphone.

The problem is that Locus Map Watch is not available in Google Play on my smartphone because Google Play reports that the app is too old / incompatible with my current Android version.

I also cannot find “Locus Map Watch” in the Google Play Store directly on the Galaxy Watch Ultra2.

Locus Map 4 itself is installed and working fine on the phone.

Is there currently a supported way to use Locus Map Watch with a Galaxy Watch Ultra2 and a current Android/Wear OS version? If not, is an updated Wear OS version planned?

Thank you!

Hi Robert,

The add-on Locus Map Watch is awaiting a major overhaul that should be done by the end of this year. At the moment, the app is not fully compatible. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hmmmmm, same issue here; would like to use it on my new Watch Ultra 2 as that is why I bought it n the first place since Tizen is not supported anymore.

Is there any point in side loading an older APK or does that not work at all currently ?

Regards, Jean

By the way, I just found out that the Samsung Health app on your phone can import GPX-files for the Walking and Hiking exercises and show those on your Samsung Watch Ultra 2!. Probably not the same functionality as Locus Map bit for the time being maybe an acceptable alternative.
