Good evening guys,

Nicolai, please check settings for GraphHopper add-on in Settings > Navigation > menu button next to "Source". Because it looks like you do not have correctly selected country for route compute.

Hmm, you are welcome. Anyway this is weird. So only what I may suggest, is to check if you really use public version of graphHopper add-on and latest available routing data. Because some old routing files won't work with new add-on and opposite.

All is in this known topic: http://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=4036.0

Add-on is in data directory, version 0.1.7. Maps are in second directory separated by countries.

hmm if I use the version 0.1.7 Locus crashes everytime I open the navigation menu. I use the complete Germany Vector map. Does it matter, if I only use the routing datas from baden württemberg or do I need to use the Baden Württemberg Vector map?

Hmm interesting. Version 0.1.7 and routing data from same source? Should work. Vector map has no effect here.

Anyway if it do not work, it is weird, anyway it is still add-on somewhere between useless piece of code and beta version, so I may only suggest to give a try to BRouter till this will work as expected, sorry.

ok no problem. Yes if I use version 0.1.7 Locus crashes. But if I use version 0.1.8 I see the screen without the buttons to start the navigation (see screenshot above). But anyway. It looks like I have to use Brouter for the next time

I believe I am in a minority of users who prefers GraphHopper to Brouter according to forum posts I read. It suits my requirements, certainly. I do not understand who is responsible for the add-on, however. I obtained the 0.1.7 version from Google Drive courtesy of Menion's post here: http://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=4036.0. Now I see a 'testing' folder for addon_0.1.8.apk. Additionally, a reply to my post on the GraphHopper forum here: https://discuss.graphhopper.com/t/graphhopper-locus-map-add-on/207 informs me I can create my own routing data. I doubt my ability to do that, however, without more detailed instructions - I do not begin to understand the construction of the .apk file and its relationship with routing data. I wonder what is my best way forward to most recent data?

Hello guys, Bob,

For now, I wasn't able to find out an real reason why GraphHopper add-on crash on certain devices. So my general suggestion is - try it and when it do not work, forget on it for now.

Add-on is based on library provided by karusell (main developer of GraphHopper engine) anyway add-on itself is created by me as well as generated data. Functionality of GraphHopper is still not perfect for publishing it as a final offline solution for Locus so because of this, I'm also not working on it for now.

Menion

I respect what you write about GraphHopper. However, to work with the 0.1.7 generator and be able to create a new routing file from up-to-date OSM data as you have suggested is possible would be very satisfying. I learn, though, that a .sh file is used primarily, if not exclusively, in Unix. I assume that precludes me from executing the task as I work with Windows and its command prompt only. I am far from an 'advanced user' but would feel such a sense of achievement if someone could help me in my quest. It might help others, too.
