Starting navigation in the middel of a planned route

Hello,

let's say, we are standing in the middle of planned gpx-route.

How can I tell Locus + BRouter to which end of this gpx-route I would like to get navigated?

With best regards,

Alex

Hi Alex,

tell just Locus - you don't need BRouter when you have a ready GPX route: http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:functions:navigation:along-route

Note that it is better to use BRouter routes in the direction they were intended. It is quite posiible that for the opposite direction the BRouter would suggest different route. You may know from the own experiance that optimal return route may differ.

Sometimes Locus Pro still has trouble starting navigation from the middle of a (BRouter) route. Even when within +/-10m of the route the Navigation panel will have a big ? icon. Never automatically recovers from this mode. 100% of the time I could tap Recalculate and it would then work, but I don't want to change the route. 100% of the time I can start riding, stop Navigation, re-start Navigation, and it will eventually work properly (may take a few repeats of this sequence). Typical scenario: navigation from start. Stop navigation for shopping or lunch. Re-start navigation - big ? icon.

You need not change the route, if you use recalculation with route priority.

Personally, when my GPS is working, I have not notices troubles with starting in the middle. But I do not use route diversions e.g. to some POI and back, nor generation of route from manually created route by BRouter multicall feature.( i.e. not via quick point from viaN to )

up until latest version where you can specify which profile to use, I didn't want to use that function, and anyway shouldn't have to

Hey guys, I think you are overcomplicating this topic - the question regards "planned GPX route", i.e. no router is needed, the route is given.

Maybe but the topic was "Starting navigation in the middel of a planned route". I took the opportunity to mention there are problems starting navigation in the middle of a planned route. My problems are not related to a router either.

okay, let's wait for Alex's reply. Maybe something is "lost in the translation".
