Dear Filip.

You can try the auto Backup in Locus Map (if enabled) Menu>More functions >Backup manager>Restore.

Best regards.

Hello.

Please check your settings default directories (Menu>Settings>Miscellaneuous >Default directories ) and when you have any directories set on the SD card, check card.

Maybe a problem of settings in smartphone rather than a Locus problem.

Look at similar problem mentioned here and possible solution described here.

Then why only for locus and no other app is affected? Maybe you miss some app build configuration? Further finding is that all locus folder has same date from december as of all directories were created newly. No factory reset made ofc.

That is probably the case. My info disappeared after a new update. All my directories were new and I seldom use a memory cleaner. But as for now I have a automatic backup to the cloud..

Hi,

we're sorry for the troubles. As mentioned in the mentioned articles very often are data deleted due to device memory cleaner.

I'd suggest to set backup to cloud, please see https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:tools:backup#backup_to_cloud

Thank you

Hi,

all personal records, maps. poi are missing. Only the directory for Locus was newly created on my SD card after Locus lanch. Also all brouter file are missing. But Locus remembered login, display icons preferences, recording preferences (except of path). Phone Lenovo Vibe P1ma, android 5.1. Last updated apps are from competition companies (strava, huawei health, amazfit).

I checked the SD card and phone memory for any recorded gpx files. Nothing found.

Good luck

Emil

ps: it happened not just after the Locus update

Petr,

do you mean https://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:disappearing_data But I'm using Lenovo and have enough free space on internal memory and also SD card. No factory reset ... The trash cleaner was used a month ago without a problem. The problem arise in last 5 days. The last change that I made was in recording preferences, I created new path for 2020.

Dear Janko,

Locus itself really doesn't delete the app files and any settings nor update should somehow influence it. Please follow the suggestions described in the doc article - set the backup to the cloud. I'm very sorry about the situation but I can't provide any simple solution. Please use the app, and try to find out connection between any system tool if the issue will occur again.

Thank you

Strange that it only happens with Locus. Sygic has no such problem...

This shows me that either contractual agreement is missing with some phone manufacturer or build configuration is incorrect. Hope it will be fixed soon.

Honestly, I'm not so familiar with Sygic and logic of device cleaner. But it can be caused due to different locations, where the app stores the data. Every app has own private folder located in '/Android/data/.../...' maybe that device cleaner doesn't delete data in this app private folder.

Locus (by default) doesn't use this folder because all files in this private folder are deleted by the system when the app is uninstalled. And this would be a more serious issue.
