Best handheld device 2021

Hi there,

I've been using Locus pro for a few years now with my Samsung S7 mobile phone and a Bad Elf GPS unit. They work perfectly together and I've really enjoyed how accurate they are. Now my phone needs to be replaced which is a pain. What I'd appreciate advice on is what device should I choose to replace my 5year old phone with. I'd still like to be able to use my Bad Elf.

Hello Tony,

because of the huge number of available devices on the market, is almost impossible to suggest any. It highly depends on your own needs. We are still a small team so we cover just a few devices. It is a lot better to read some reviews or ask on any forum that is more focused on the devices themselves.

Thanks for understanding,

Thanks for feedback. Totally understand.

I was thinking of looking at Garmin but not sure if it's possible to still use locus maps or not.

Hi Tony, just recently I had a look into the market as a few friends of mine had asked me above question.

If there are no special needs like rugged device, or super fast or super small, then the Galaxy A52 is a great beast. It is the successor of the very successful A51 from last year that I advised to two other friends who love it very much.

In addition I have my hands on this brand new A52 since Saturday (emergency purchase because Rena's old one died) and it works like a charm. Locus already installed, of course.

Thanks Michael.

Good call, the A52 looks like the top pick for the price. I've just returned a Samsung S21 because the call quality was hopeless and the screen a bit small for my liking.

I'll try the A52.

Cheers
