Can we trace a stolen phone with LOCUS PRO app loaded on it?

Hello in Europe, from us here in Cambodia!

Our LandRover Explore phone was stolen.

We had downloaded the LOCUS PRO app on it.

Would that help us locate the phone s coordinated

EVEN when the phone s location was not turned on, the phone was number locked plus the phone seems turned off most of the time?

A desperate try! Finding the phone might lead us to finding other lost items as well ...

Thank you!

You would need to have configured locus live tracking in advance and need some way to enable it

a much better way in this situation is to use the android device manager

https://www.google.com/android/find?u=0

which uses the system built in to the operating system

I have used locus/livetracking to find my lost phone, but thats because i had set up a tasker task to activate it remotely by txt message.

Thank you Alistair - I guess we learned for the next phone to follow your tip about setting up the tasker task! So much still to learn :-) - best wishes for the new year

Unfortunately 1. We turned location off before we kept phone in the bag for the night 2. the person who has the phone has kept it turned off. 3. We have put a lock on the phone so now he cannot open the phone (to keep him from seeing my husband's email and whatsapp correspondence). All this combined makes it seem it's not possible to get the coordinates. Thank you for thinking out loud with us. The police in the mountains (where we were holidaying when everything got stolen) is at a loss of how to find the thief, to prevent him from further robbery this holiday week - that's why we are so eager to locate the phone at least. Any other ideas?

Contact your carrier, if you giove them imei number of phone, they can make it useless on network.. possibly even locate it if its turned on.

Hello Mieneke,

We are sorry for your lost phone, but unfortunately your problem cannot be solved with Locus.

Try the search option described by Alistair and I hope you can find your phone.

Have a nice day
