When you start a new topic, what setting will notify you by emails of new responses?

When a contribute a topic, I would like to be notified by email whenever someone responds. At the moment I have to remember to login from time to time to check for responsed.

this is an interesting idea because what you request should already work. For the topic created by you or the topic where you voted, you should automatically receive an email notification in case, new response or change in status happens. This never worked for you? May you please check your spam folder, just for sure? Thanks.
