Import GPX fail

Solved

I had a problem with importing gpx data, and it was solved with your help:

"open Settings - Miscellaneous - Default directories - Set the main directory - 3 dot menu by the "Private folder in internal storage" - tap "Select". Then go to Settings - Miscellaneous - Default directories - Load app data > continue. It is necessary to open the original "sdcard/Locus" directory and choose "Use this folder"."

That worked for awhile, but not I can't import gpx-es again. Strangely, when I want to import a gpx, in the error message says: there are no points in an other file than I want to import.

Please help me, I need badly this function.

Hi, I use the app on my Samsung Galaxy S10 sind 2020 and I had never any problem. But now suddenly I cannot import anymore any tracks. I have read that I should give the files other names in case the have _ or ä or something like this, but it doesn´t work. I attach a screenshot so that you can see that I receive exactly the same error message as Attila described. It says cannot find importable points or tracks in the file and asks if I want to show it on the map. If I chose "ja" I come back to the map but without any track ....

Hello,

please, send me a screenshots from these screens:
"Menu > About the app/Helpdesk > About the app"
"Menu > Settings > Misc. > Default directories > Set custom sub-directories"

Can you share that file with me so I can test it?

Thank you.

Hi,

Here are the screenshots you asked for. I give you an example, but I need to tell you, I can not import any gpx or kml files.

I have to mention I installed the Locus Map (ver 4.16.0), but it doesn't work neither.

Best regards,

Attila

Hello,

this file (proba.KML) is empty, so there is really nothing to import.

Hello,

this is correct, the app must be in the "private folder".

Do you have any file to test?

Hi Locus-Team,

I have a similar problem. Can't import gpx files anylonger. I've attached a sample file that was created by koomot. I can import this file successfully into another app (BikeComputer). I am using locus map classic 3.68.0.

Thanks for your support!

Hello,

please, can you create a video documenting this issue?

If you don't know the right app, I would suggest AZ Screen Recorder for screen recording.

Thank you.

It is exactly what is happening to me. First try - nothing happens, second try - app crashes.

After the last update I can't import any gpx files.

Sometimes nothing happens at all, other times the app crashes immediately.

I use Locus map classic 3.68.0.

Android version 12.

All folders are in the internal directory.

The app is in the "private folder".

Thanks very much!

Hello,

please, can you send me any file which causes this crash to test?

I can't simulate this issue.

Hello,

there is a new update (if it is not available right now for you, it should be soon).

Please, install it and try it again.

Let me know if the problem persists.

I had to reset the app data and cache in android settings. Now it works!

Thank you! Nice app and great support!
