For silent navigation messages

Waldemar Wawoczny shared this problem 12 months ago
Not a Problem

I have a phone: Samsung S20 FE 5G

navigation messages use the sound channel: music, video, games.
Channel: calling and other notifications - does not work (no message sound).
Because I always listen to music while riding a bike, problems started when the sample rate of this music = 44.1 kHz, these are mp3 files (VBR / 0), the volume of the message is too low
and incomprehensible against the background of the music playing.
Overall: music volume is too low and announcements are too quiet

What to do with this?

Hi,

could you please send a sample music with the frequency you describe for a test? Testing with Spotify doesn't show any problems...

For listening on the phone, I only have files in mp3 formats obtained from .FLAC files (usually 24 bit, sample rate 44.1 kHz) with the option for conversion: VBR and V0 (~256 kbit/s). This is due to the smaller size of mp3 to FLAC files.
The transferred mp3 file has a sample rate of 44.1 kHz and 32 bit float. this is a small excerpt from over 1 hour. mix.

I think a notification channel would be better, but why doesn't it work?

Hi,

we've tested the sample on several Samsung devices and also on phones of other makers. In all cases, the music is turned down when a navigation command comes so that the navigation is not drowned out and is distinctively heard. Maybe you can try the settings of your MP3 player app.

The notification channel works only on some phones.
