extract gpx from tracks.db file

Hi,

During a mobile transfer I save the GPXs in a file called tracks.db.

I have tried to import in locus but without success. I have also tried to convert it using ogr2ogr, but no luck.

Could anyone tell me how to export from the tracks.db the GPXs.

Will be ideal to have them in separate GPX files.

Thanks Peppe

Hi Peppe,

tracks.db is the app's internal database file. If you want to export tracks and routes from the database, do it via Locus Map app export. if you need to transfer Locus Map and its data to another phone, please follow the instructions here >>.

Thanks Michal,

unfortunately the tracks.db is the only file that I was able to recovery from the old phone.

Does the tracks.db also contain the personal GPXs?
Is there a way to extract them from the tracks.db?

Thanks

Peppe

If you have reinstalled Locus, there is a new Tracks.db
You simply have to replace it with the old one. Or do you have a backup? You can restore it with the Backup manager. That would be the best solution
https://docs.locusmap.app/doku.php?id=manual:user_guide:settings:backup_fsys#backup_manager

You can find the Tracks.db under Locus/Data/Database
