Hi, sorry for the inconvenience. Usually, the database migration runs smoothly but in some cases (like yours) some other process interrupts it. Please do the following:

- open /Locus/ main directory in a file manager (preferably Total Commander, Solid Explorer, X-Plore or by connecting the phone to a PC)

- find the pre-migration backup file in /Locus/backup/ folder:

db51ca6d4996d7d52f8165bf58023d6d

- delete the contents of the /data/database/ folder

- unzip the backup file contents into the /data/database/ folder

- restart Locus Map

Hi, I have this same problem with v4.28.2 - I loaded Total Commander and navigated to the 'mention.android.locus' path above but only see maps and mapsVector directories?

Hi Graham, you probably use /Android/data/ sector for the main Locus directory. That sector is unfortunately accessible only via connecting to a PC.

Great - Thanks, found that.

Just to be clear delete within 'ap_mylibV2_conversion' and copy from 'ap_before_sync' - is that correct please?

No, copy the contents of the mylibV2_conversion.zip to Locus/data/database folder (overwrite what needs overwriting). Don't do anything with the other zip file.

OK - Thanks. I did that - on sync, I got a progress bar to say that it was processing 100s of tracks etc. then there was a deletion phase and at the end of it I have the same hanfull of tracks that I have created in the last few days.

Graham, what error number did Locus Map show before you reported it here? Mr Dong has managed to resolve the issue by the proposed procedure.

I don't get an error number (or at least one that I have seen) - it's just that all the tracks (mostly recorded tracks) that were previously in the tracks and routes area (if I am remembering the term correctly) have not appeared in my library). It's not the end of the world - just a bit annoying. I read in the notes somewhere that they should come across but if not to contact the help desk. Good that it was solved for Mr Dong.

Do you happen to have a backup of your data from before the migration?

Not as far as I know- I had periodic backups set up on older versions but I naively thought the cloud sync was supposed to take care of things??

When I copied those files you suggested the sync seemed to be processing lots of tracks but then went into a deletion phase at the end - I could try rerunning that and watch more closely if that would help?

...or maybe just admit defeat - there was nothing there i actually desperately need.

Is your library complete on the web?

I have never used the web side of Locus before - looks really useful. The library on there is the same as on my phone though - just a handful of tracks recently added. Thanks for your help BTW.

Let's get back to the Locus/backup folder - could you please send a screenshot of it?

Sorry, we are away at the moment so could we leave this and come back to it in a week please?

OK, no problem. The topic remains open.

Hey Dong,

the analysis of the communication between your device(s) revealed a more complex issue. Could you please:

- delete Locus /data/database folder in the main Locus directory

- restart Locus Map and sync it with the cloud (load the current data from the server)

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Thank you for your kind reply
I solved it the way you explained in the first reply
Have a nice day
