Toogle Maps with one click
One featuere I'm missing most in Locus is to quickly toggle between 2 or more maps with ONE CLICK. There's already button "Quick map switch", but takes 2 clicks to open a map, even more if the map isn't listed in last-used-maps list. If we want to analyse something on several maps (e.g. LoMaps, Aerial-Image, traditional Topo map) it will need some amount of concentration and clicks right now.
I just stumbled over thread https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/35635-make-long-tap-on-content-button-toggle-last-used-maps-across-restart . I never heard of possibility to long-press "content button" to toggle between last 2 used maps. Good idea - keep it - but this is a little bit hidden function of UI, it's not even described in docu yet ;-)
My idea: Implement a function, including its own button for UI, to oneclick-toggle between either
a) a certain number of last used maps (2,3,4..)
b) a user-defined list of maps
If a) or b) is used and its parameters, the user could define in a setting window
This function will let us just to have click one button all the time to toggle through 2 or a list of our intended maps.
You can toggle between the current and the last used map with one (longpress!) click on the map content icon.

I use presets for different maps (with different themes) maybe this is helpful for you

We then have an additional button that covers the card. I think the current solution is very good and sufficient. I don't mind if they plaster over their map, but I don't want that and would like to keep the current solution.

@Graf Geo: As I wrote above, I know this (somewhat hidden) toggle option. This is good, but just a part of my proposed solution.
@freischneider: The toogle-map functionbutton of course would be optional to be placed on your screen, like every other function button. So it wouldn't interfere with your current layout. Each current solution to change maps (Quickmapswitch, Map Manager, long-press content-button) won't be altered. But the new button will bring additional comfort to people, who want to quickly toggle by one click between a well defined list of different maps.

Perhaps the additional functions can also be integrated into the long-press content button.
Normally I always have the same card and can use it to quickly switch to satellite.
If I very rarely use a different map, I naturally have to select 2 again. Of course, it would be nice if you could set this permanently.
