Selezione suono "fuori percorso" notifica.

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the hassle — that's a frustrating difference to run into when switching devices.

What you're seeing comes from ColorOS rather than from Locus Map itself. When you choose an alert or notification sound, the list of available sounds is provided by your phone's system sound picker — Locus just opens it. On your Oppo A52, ColorOS only shows the built-in "alert tones" in that picker, whereas the other phones you used before also listed music and custom files. So it's a device-level limitation, not something we can change directly in the app.

The good news is there's a reliable workaround. You need to make your custom sound files visible to Android's sound list:

1. Using your file manager, copy (or move) the MP3 files you want into the Internal storage → Notifications folder (you can also try Ringtones or Alarms if it's for other alert types). If the folder doesn't exist, just create it with that exact name.
2. Restart the phone — this is the important step. ColorOS only re-scans these folders after a reboot, so the new sounds won't appear until you do.
3. Open the sound setting in Locus again — your custom files should now show up in the picker alongside the built-in tones.

Avevo già eseguito la procedura indicata. I file MP3 sono presenti nella cartella Notifications, il telefono è stato riavviato e i file vengono riconosciuti da ColorOS perché posso selezionarli come tono di suonerie , tuttavia quando apro il selettore audio da Locus per l'avviso "fuori percorso", vengono mostrati esclusivamente i Toni avviso interni di ColorOS e non i file presenti in Notifications.

Sembra quindi che il selettore richiamato da Locus riceva da ColorOS un elenco diverso rispetto a quello disponibile nelle impostazioni di sistema.

Avrei aggirato il problema caricando il mio file personalizzato come notifica di sistema e poi selezionando sui Toni avviso proposti da ColorOS: predefinito di sistema, però, proprio perché l'ho personalizzato per il "fuori percorso" è inappropriato per tutte le altre notifiche.

Il fatto che tu dica che "Locus si limita ad aprirlo", e constatato quanto più sopra scritto e provato, mi fa pensare che Locus stia usando una chiamata Android diversa da quella dalle impostazioni di sistema.

Se si potesse risolvere bene, altrimenti uso le opzioni "bip" o "voce", restando comunque un'estimatore della vostra splendida app.

Thank you for testing all of that so thoroughly — and for the kind words.

You're right that this comes down to how the sound list is requested. When you pick "custom sound" for the out-of-route alert, Locus opens Android's sound picker, and that picker is filtered by sound type (ringtone vs. notification vs. alarm). ColorOS appears to have indexed your MP3 as a ringtone — which is why it's selectable in the system settings and as a ringtone, but doesn't appear in the more narrowly filtered list Locus opens for the alert. The system Settings screen uses Oppo's own, more permissive picker, so it shows the file regardless. So your conclusion — that Locus is calling a different list than the system settings — matches exactly how this works on Android.

There's one last thing worth trying that sometimes resolves it on these ROMs: place a copy of the same MP3 into the Ringtones and Alarms folders in internal storage as well (not only Notifications), then restart the phone. That gives ColorOS the chance to register the file under every sound type, so it should turn up whichever type Locus's picker is asking for. It's not guaranteed on ColorOS, but it's quick to try.

If that doesn't help, then unfortunately it's a limitation in how this particular ColorOS picker filters custom files, rather than something we can toggle in the app on your side. In that case the beep or voice options are the reliable route, as you say.

Try .ogg instead of .mp3 ? (The same extension as in thé default phone map)

Niente non lo carica e non lo mostra come scelta.
