"Auto color" as a new color option for tracks (for easier distinguish)
Gathering feedback
Hi Menion,
wish you and your team and family the best for Christmas and a good year to come.
Problem: Let's say I define a color per folder, and inside there are multiple tracks which partly overlap. If I display them all, the display result is a kind of grid/net of my tours, which cannot be distinguished.
My idea: Locus could offer to auto pick a color per track as an additional color option. Just let the user define transparency and saturation, but not hue. You could calculate the hue internally by whatever hash depending on the track.
Best regards
Michael
That is a nice idea, Michael. Would definitely be useful as an option

Yes that would be a good option. I've already written it here. https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/select-track-and-inverse-colorization-with-no-popup

I think it shouldn't be called auto color for tracks. But track auto color for folders. So not a setting for tracks but a setting for folder style
