Battery saver mode like Waze

To save power, Waze automatically dims your screen on long drives with no upcoming turns. To return to full brightness simply tap the screen.

This would be great when using Locus: when mountain biking a simple tap would increase the brightness of the screen. No need to turn off and on the screen all the time.

Ok, but there is a setting to light up the screen for each navigation command. Go to: controlling/mapscreen/Screen on/off control

Nice, but the Waze battery saver would enable lighting up the screen on demand - anytime you need it. Without using the navigation commands.

switch on manually: you only need to press the On button Phone.

Or you can use a Bluethoose remote control.

Tap to wake function is for situations when you do not want (cannot) push the button. E.g. the phone in the holder on the handlebars. And some phones are not easy to turn on (wake up) with power button with gloves.

Ah, just check of the map at a turn.

You can choose some gestures in the same menu to wake-up the screen (allthough they do not work on my phone). I use the phone's built in swipe up.

Gestures do not work and Disable screen lock does not work (Pocophone F1, Android 8)

Mm, strange. Works here on Android 7 and offcourse you let the screen go dark with Locus visible.

Menion alert!

I would assume this is not problem of Locus but of overcomplicated settings of MIUI. E.g. "Disable screen lock" can be enabled if you permit Locus to be on the lockscreen in MIUI.

Yeah, MIUI is a bit of PITA (just as EMUI:). Thanks for the tip (actually, the ridiculously complicated path to this setting in MIUI is Settings>> permissions>> other permissions>> permissions>> show on lockscreen).

Still, waze-like wake up function would be nice to have.

Gesture does not work ? Admin rights screen on/off control correctly set ?

Android 7, Locus install onto internal memory ! Same issue when using A 8 + ?

See help page warning: Android 7+ “Nougat” users !

Apologies for incomplete info re gestures. They do not work because the phone is in the case and the sensors are blocked.
