Bear left/Bear right

Can I switch off the bear left/right sounds and replace it with left/right turn instructions when I am driving?

Hi Liam,
"bear left/right" is used for slight turns or keeping you in the direction you will need later. "Turn left/right" is used for sharper turns.

Hi Michal,
Thanks. Not quite what I was thinking of. though.. I'll re-phrase my question. Can I restrict the audio instructions to be enabled only when a turn or bearing is required at a node rather than enabled for every deviation along an edge?
Hmmm, thinking about it... Locus is just following a trackway on the face of the earth, it doesn't know that it is on a road network of edges and nodes. Can I disable bearing instructions and enable just turning instructions? But then there might be some false positives and negative audio instructions with respect to the road network. Am I understanding this correctly?

Hi Liam,
it depends whether you use "Navigate to" feature when the complete route is rendered by a routing service or if you navigate along a ready made route (manually drawn or imported). In the first case the voice instructions are much more accurate because they are created on the base of route segments and nods. Second case - Locus generates instructions only according to the shape of the route - not by nods. In any case, it is not possible to restrict one or other type of instruction by some setting.
