Dashboard option to hide top navigation bar

Hi, with my dashboard, the top pane with the 2 user definable values is having redundant information, the dashboard is also using less space. See screenshot.
Idea: checkbox in the dashboard option to not display navigation bar.

As a bystander, your screenshot does not make clear whats your problem.
