False targets during navigation
Not a Problem
Hello,
On route created in Locus, every pass-through (manually added, not computed) trackpoint is during navigation announced as target (the finish flag symbol). I think this is wrong, Locus should announce finish only at the real end of the route. The misbehaviour wasnot present on old navigation scheme.
The same problem occurs when joining two tracks together, having navigation commands on it, the original first part finish is announced as resulting track finish too.
Hello,
hmm "flag" symbol is there just because I did not yet created better icon for an "via-point". Anyway - announcements - Locus notify that you just "reached your destination" when you pass this middle-point?

I don't think reached your destination is announced by voice, but the flag symbol is confusing. At least it obscures following track command. Could be pass-through trackpoints (and former tracks finishes) completely ignored during navigation? (i.e. no visual or audible announces)
In my opinion manual pass-through points should be ignored by default, and user should be able to assign the point a custom icon and title on saved track. Only in that case it would be announced during navigation as standard navi command (icon as navigation symbol and track name announced by TTS).

For now, they cannot be ignored. Their main purpose is to improve track recalculation.
Anyway agree that flag is confusing. I have to summary some requests to my graphics so he will create a new icons for me (like this one).

OK, just for clarification I don't mean by ignoring ignoring them completely (trackpoints still be used for track computing, only ignored during navigation). Just for case this will be changed in the future, I find allowing of custom trackpoint titles and announcing more intuitive.

Agree. This is planned, just not yet implemented. More probably here: http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/edit-track-creation-of-waypoints

It seems we already had some similar starting talk here (D). (Google translate helps ?). http://forum.locusmap.eu/index.php?topic=4770.msg39002#msg39002
System 'Navigation to" = A direct action/drive. Via points 'muss pass" points....of coarse ;-).
Prefer standard empty name tag = not announced, unless user explicitely adds (free) name tag.
System "Add new route and Measure" = A design. Via points helpers (no name tag) used mainly to create a track with aid of autorouter. Via points = not announced unless user explicitely adds a (free) name tag.
In export a selector (Yes/No): Inclusive empty name (must pass) Via Points (Y/N).
No = A simple nice clean free trackdesign (to share) by the Locus track creator !
