I use a Samsung Note 10 Plus. After the recent update to the new UI and an update of my maps I noticed that during recording of a track, I get "jumps" out of the track and back to track. Mainly while I switch to other apps. Settings allows to continue GPS in the background. see GPX created by app and map doen by my Polar to compare

Dear Ram.

Please check the settings of GPS in your device

1) make sure Locus Map has all system permissions regarding accurate location access.

If you have Android 10, select the option "all the time".

2) make sure Locus Map is excluded from all means of battery optimization.

For detailed instructions please have look at http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:gps_lost_fix_android6 or here: https://dontkillmyapp.com/.

3) in Locus settings > GPS&sensors > turn GPS auto-off OFF

4) in Locus settings > GPS&sensors > turn Google Services assisted location ON

(only if you use full Google Services, and not just MicroG solution)

5 )in Locus settings > GPS&sensors > Advanced settings > Position filter > I recommend the Medium

Best regards.

2. Most of the settings were already as suggested

3. Google services were not turned on, > changed it

4. #5 - found it at Advanced > Location filter > changed to medium.

will test and revert
