Improve style for texts in Garmin maps (IMG)
Gathering feedback
Hello,
I’m Soon-ho Choi from South Korea.
I’m a manager of a big cafe for Locus and Orux, and in charge of making various maps.
Making maps for Locus, I have two problems as follows.
One is the label ribbon and the other is the text color.
For the maps, I need to eliminate the label ribbon and be able to change the text color when necessary. Could you please modify the program for them?
For your reference, attached is a vector image map file.
Lots of people in my cafe are interested in Locus.
If the problems are solved, a lot of my members may be willing to purchase Locuspro,
Hope to hear a good news from you.
Thank you.
- What is "a manager of a big cafe for Locus and Orux" ? :)
- What "label ribbon" ?
- What "text color" ?
- What attachment ?

I've tried to attach an off-line vector image map file several times.
But it failed.
The error message is 'incorrect file type'.
What can I do with this problem?

short answer: The garmin *.img map format has no high priority inside Locus development.
I'm sure the Locus support team will give also a short statement soon...

Good day,
as gynta wrote, priority for better support for Garmin IMG maps is not high. Even if over night, this topic get high support from people that wants to use it, I cannot promise, that this change really soon.
Support for Garmin maps in Locus is on really bad level and feature you require is just a small step in a process that should be improved.
I've also changed your question to "idea", so it won't be lost anyway I cannot promise time when I start work on this, sorry.

Guys stop with comments on this issue (just give a vote, it is enough). Such comments "I agree" are useless so I'll remove them. As I wrote before, Garmin maps do not have high priority and this do not change it. I'm aware of strong Korean community that want's it, thanks for your opinion!

It's a pity that you don't have a high priority for img vector maps.
Nevertheless, we continue to create vector maps for Locus.
More and more people in my community are interested in Locus with img maps.

I hope that you will have some interest in it for your better business in near future.
Thanks.
