Locus map apps

When a point is selected, followed by the "map apps" icon, why does locus list only google maps/navigation? Ive got nokia's next gps app installed and would like it to be listed there as well. Is this something I can configure locus to do?

Hi,

when you tap on Map apps, there is item called "Maps" with small number in red circle. Please tap on this Maps > Locus offers all possible apps that are able to show/navigate/process the point

I think this answer is not complete. In my case iGo Primo Navigation is not offered. But this program is not installed through the Play Store. Maybe that is the reason.

Hi guys,

precise answer: Locus can't know all navigation apps. Android offer internal system where application may "register itself" as a receiver for certain information - in this case - coordinates! Locus test all applications in your device, if they are able to receive coordinates. If yes, that will be listed in this "maps" menu. If not, sorry, problem of app, not Locus.

From time to time yes. I've added Michal to this topic, so he should get notification about this ... thanks gynta, good point as usually ;).

the manual contains information that the button "opens a menu of installed add-ons and COOPERATING 3rd party apps that CAN process the point". That should be enough for an ordinary user. However, I've added Menion's explanation to make the thing clearer.
