Presets for all settings
Declined
I propose that the presets can change all the settings and panels. As if different devices. Only in this case can presets be fully used. Thank.
Hello,
what is the main diss-advantage of the current system, where only a portion of the most frequently changed settings is selectable?
In case you want to really change pack of all settings, then an easier solution to do should be to allow start the application with certain "backup" (Backup of settings) restored during start as proposed here.

Hello!
My use case involves switching frequently.
I am not comfortable using backups.
In the existing system, I can not use two profiles. I miss changing many settings and panels.

I believe that presets should be a "second program" with FULLY individual settings.
I believe that presets should be a "second program" with FULLY individual settings.
Once again I tried to use presets.
But ...
1. There are not enough settings. For example, I need the setting "do not turn off GPS when recording a track" and the screen is off, but there is no such setting.
2. When changing settings in one preset, the setting often changes in another. This is contrary to the purpose of presets.
Hopefully the flaws are fixed.
Thank you

I also wish for a long time. Each user likes to have other settings that he wants to assign a profile. I would like to have some attitude in the navigation area.

Hi guys,
system of "Presets" was made to simplify most common tasks so idea was to offer just a basic, frequently changed, settings. During last months, into presets were added few more settings based on users feedback. Settings where was +- global united opinion, that these settings may be useful for "all".
So from this, you may understand, that "all" settings were never planned. And special settings like "Do not turn off GPS when recording a track" are definitely not settings that most of the users change often (this one belong more to category > never change). So sorry, idea declined.
If you think, there are missing settings that will be useful for most of the users, feel free to create an idea for this with "Preset" tag.
And the problem with "overwriting" > this is technically not possible, so there will be a maybe a small problem with understanding how presets works. When you select a "Preset", then it's settings is only copied/applied to application settings. Nothing more. There is nothing like "active preset". It really just overwrite current app settings with the settings defined in preset.

It's a pity.
There are many users and their ways of using the program are different.
Therefore, presets should have many individual settings.
Thank.

That is correct - many users, many tastes.
Too many settings = problem for (almost) all of them. Thant's why preset should stay "simple".

There is too little space. You may optically change the field in the sidebar. Depending on what is set.
