Modern Garmin devices save data to the .FIT file format. The format description is open and widely known. If you add support for .FIT it will allow people with garmin running watches to view and analyse their Activities without an internet connection. This is possible by connecting the garmin to the phone in OTG mode, copying the .FIT file from the garmin then importing the file into locus. Locus already supports the .TCX format, .FIT is not too different.

+1 from me for that.

Good day Michal,
you are currently first who ever asked me, so for now, there is no plan.

Have you reconsidered? I think that four people have the same quesiton now :)

Good day Simon,
unfortunately there are currently more important tasks. Thank you for understanding.
EDIT: I've changed this question to "idea" so feel free to vote if interested.

I would welcome very much this function as well, since I am storing all my activities in this space-saving format. It would be great to be able to import these activities ;)
edit: I'm talking about garmin .fit files, don't know if it's the same

+1 from me too. And I would also appreciate, if it would be able to import (and also export) all the graphs from fit file (heart rate, cadence, temperature, dew point, whatever).

+1 to be able to import at least the route from Garmin FIT file, and importing other data also would be nice

Good day guys,
I'm sorry for a mess in topics (it is not possible to simply revert it).
These from you who wants to add support for Google FIT, please remove your vote here and vote for a new created topic here: http://help.locusmap.eu/topic/google-fit-support_1 . Thank you and sorry for extra work.

+1 for Garmin FIT import support. I'm currently using Garmin Fenix 3 for track recording and therefore lost the ability to use Locus to process the tracks offline. That was possible with previous Garmin Tactix, which saved tracks in GPX format.
I loved the Locus workflow with the previous Garmin model and it would still work if FIT import support were added.

The new hammerhead karoo bike computer also gives you only fit files. The karoo is a great device for locus since its based on android and a support for fit files would add to the cross compatibility with the native karoo apps.

Bryton, too saves as .fit and it would be nice to transfer recorded tracks in locus.

Hi guys,
I've just published new Beta version 3.36.2.1 that have added export & import of FIT files!
It will definitely need some testing & functionality confirmation, so feel free to report any troubles (& sample data for test).

I tried to import attached files. Only A was successful.
But in addition - Locus can show altitude and cadence graph in contrary to Garmin which can show altitude and temperature (only in second half of route). And cadence and temperature graphs are not the same (which could be if the temperature would be marked as cadence). Where is that cadence from?

It is great to see that you are implementing this! Thanks a ton. Tested with Edge 520 and Bryton 310 recorded fit file. Seems to work well for Edge. With Bryton I find that speed (sensor) and heart rate are missing. I might be able to provide a sample file for Bryton if required.

^you can't export .fit file without timestamp to connect also not to strava, if you are manually creating route in locus map.
It would be helpful to have option to manually introduce track time from travel time estimate.

Hello Igor, Lukáš,
isn't there needed to export FIT files as "Course"? This option is available in the latest Locus Map. But it looks to be a little buggy and after export, the app does not remember previous selection and always force to export as "course". Sorry, will be fixed in the next version.

Hello Menion, for me the problem is wrong timeframe in exported fit. Please check screenshot from basecamp. What I am proposing is introducing travel time into manually created/not recorded tracks. Hope that makes sense.

Hi,
I did export real track and the problem is the same.

Thanks for this implementation, works great for me with fit files created by bryton rider 410.
