A very useful feature would be to change the transparency of onboard-calibrated maps
I realy hope that this feature will come soon. Thanks for all voters!
When using the On-board Map Calibration (for overlaying your own photos of maps) it would be great to have a variable transparency slider similar to the the Map Overlay option.
I have a bunch of 50 year old aerial photos I would love to slide between "before & after" views on my "Historical Sydney" cycle rides.
An opacity slider would also help for those times when you take photos of drawn maps at national park entrances, special events etc. The variable accuracy of these drawn maps can't always align with the real world accuracy of Locus Maps so comparison is often called for. This may also perhaps allow easy tweaking of alignment points in the map calibration process to closer match real world.
Can it be done?
Cheers,
Greg
Good day Greg,
unfortunately this is currently not possible, but it's definitely something we want to have in Locus. Unfortunately currently we don't have a lot of free time, required for this task. So I've changed this to idea, and we will see how big interest from other users is in this feature (by number of votes).

I also use the Map Calibration every now and then and agree it would be handy to have an option to let the Vector Maps "shine through".
I'm already very happy that the Map Calibration feature is available in my favorite map tool!

Good news for all who not yet notice this - feature implemented and fully working with latest version of Locus 3.14.0+.
Simply select any Ground Overlay item from "Items" tab and on main screen appear new green icon at bottom left border. Use it ;).

@Michal: Would be nice to have a hint inside the manual

It would help to see the (standard) scale bar at the bottom of the map when setting the calibration point on the map. I will play on with it!
