New entries in help desk topic only show up after reloading the topic's page

Solved

Hi all!

I realized that new entries in a topic are visible only after I reload a page. For instance, when I received a message announcing a new post in a topic I'm following, if I click the link I reach the topic, but the new message only appears after I reload the page.

I'm currently using Firefox and Edge in Windows 10. Fully updated.

Does this make any sense for you?

Thanks!

I have to improve my way of looking for already created topics before posting a supposedly new one! Thanks!

I'm also having this issue with Windows 10+Firefox since at least several months if not more. I think it's not the case with Chrome, but I can't tell for sure.

I didn't notice a long time. But sometimes after I was informed about new answers to threads I posted in by e-mail and opened the Browser to read them, they have not been visible. They just appeared after pressing CTRL+F5 keys.

I've already noticed that too. It must be due to Firefox. I now use Chrome for this site, it works great.

Hi guys.

it has been some time since this problem appeared. We do not notice anything unusual during the last weeks also after a bigger internal update of the helo desk system. Anyway if you notice anything regards this problem, please let us know and we will forward this issue to the help desk system developers. Thanks.

I just tried to open the latest threads. Seems to work now with Win10+Firefox . I'm able to see posts made the last few hours, and don't have to do a manual reload of the pages before.

Sorry, for my answer before. I just noticed that this issue is not solved completely: There seems to be no problem if opening threads where just other people are participating. But there's sp ome issue if opening threads where I posted myself (like this thread where I posted 8 hours ago): I couldn't see my former post until I pressed CTRL+F5 keys)

And one more info I just noticed:

Also from threads I didn't posted myself, but I opened for reading some hours ago: just the cached site - not the latest version - is opened. For example yesterday evening I opened a page where the last comment of "Menion" has been posted "2 hours ago". If I open the same page today morning, I see the same comment of "Menion" (although now there's another, newer comment) - and still with "2 hours ago".

Just After pressing CTRL+F5 this comment is listed with "10 hours ago" and the newer comment appears.

Useresponse, the helpdesk provider, has announced they detected and fixed the problem. The fix should come into effect after the service update in two weeks.
