how to determine vector map's version?

Hot can I look up which mapsforge format version a vector map has? This is e.g. relevant for automatic map loading as mixing vector maps v3 and v4 does not work (https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/never-had-such-a-problem-locus-as-v-3-38)

In Maps, the icon sometimes shows the version, sometimes not. In Maps > ... (next to a map) > details the format version is not visible.

Hi,

basically, there is no exact method how to find out the mapsforge version of the vector map. You can use only the map icon when:

  • V3 maps have icon with small "V3" or LoMaps icon
  • V4 maps have "simple" map icon

Obviously, LoMaps and mapsforge V3 are not exactly the same because themes working with v3 do not with LoMap. See also https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/26868-add-note-with-compatibility-of-classic-map-theme-in-locus-store

=> After restart of Locus, theme was offered when LoMap was active

And before the restart the theme wasn't available?

Usually, changes in themes do reflect "instantly", this time it did not – I guess that was not caused by an error in code 😀 but e.g. a longer delay (today, Android asked a few times whether I'd like to wait for Locus or kill it, which is normally not the case) or the like → IMHO not worth any further analyis

Interesting but I can't say what happened...well, feel free to contact us if themes will not be available. Thanks

Long wait times I only saw with extended themes on external SD
