how to determine vector map's version?

Hot can I look up which mapsforge format version a vector map has? This is e.g. relevant for automatic map loading as mixing vector maps v3 and v4 does not work (https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/never-had-such-a-problem-locus-as-v-3-38)
In Maps, the icon sometimes shows the version, sometimes not. In Maps > ... (next to a map) > details the format version is not visible.

Obviously, LoMaps and mapsforge V3 are not exactly the same because themes working with v3 do not with LoMap. See also https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/26868-add-note-with-compatibility-of-classic-map-theme-in-locus-store
