Problème de téléchargement carte IGN

Bonjour,

Hello,

we are sorry for the inconvenience. Please do the following:

  1. change app directory to private over Settings > Backup & Filesystem > File system manager > Set the main directory > Private folder in internal storage
  2. this should be quick and after that restart is needed
  3. then move old data with Settings > Backup & Filesystem > App data transfer > Load app data > continue. It is necessary to open the old "Locus" directory and choose "Use this folder"
  4. You may "Move" the whole directory or if you have enough space and want to be safe, simply "Copy" first and later delete the old Locus directory manually
  5. After restart, all data should be restored

Hi,

I use Locus Map Pro since 2014.

I've recently subscribed to IGN Maps for one year in Locus store (as I do every year since 2018). Unfortunately, and strangely, I can't manage to use it. First I got mentions appearing on the map telling "Problème inconnu" (Uknown problem).

I installed Locus 4 and got the same result.

I tried to reinstall the application (I removed Locus 4 and reinstalled Locus 3), removed the data. I finally found this topic and tried to apply the procedure described in : https://help.locusmap.eu/topic/30937-maps-vanished-and-error-12569-on-downloading

The step #3 tells that I must use the following menu entry (or button ?) : "Locus Classic: Settings > Miscellaneous > Default directories > Load app data > continue". But after having changed app directory to private, and restarted, I have no "Load app data" menu entry or button (see screenshot #2).

Now I systematically get the "Map not ready / code 12591" error when I try to use IGN maps (see screenshot #1).

Additional context / observations :

  • My phone is android 6 based (in other words, not 11+ android, so why would I meet these filesystem access issues ?...)
  • I've installed several APK versions (available on your drive archive), but I get the same result (I've tried to use an AFA version, I've downgraded...)

I am very disappointed as I am on vacations next week in the alps, and I'm used to using Locus Maps with IGN maps but despite all the solutions I tried I'll cannot use these maps that I've bought !

Thank you in advance for your help.

Best regards,

JF. Brazeau

Hello,

Thank you for this answer. Dowloading is now possible.

Even if I didn't find the "Old Locus" folder to open it. And when I choosed "Use this folder" (with a new folder created) it indicate always: "Impossible" to use this new folder. Thank you very much.

Hello,

error 12591 appears for online maps which "is not ready".

It means due to a bad connection on your or the server side map can't be displayed.

Please, try switching the connection (wifi/data) or wait for a while.

Hello,

in this case, you have to re-install Locus.

Create a backup of everything or connect your phone to your PC via cable and copy the entire Locus directory into it. Then uninstall, delete all that remains (from Locus), and install back with recommended settings (Private directory in internal memory). After the installation is done, rewrite the Locus folder with the previously saved.

Hello,

beta channel on Google Play isn't used for a few years... If you want, you can try beta from here: http://bit.ly/lmVersionsTest (4.15.2.3)

There are some updates with IGN, so please, let me know if it helps.
