Not a Problem

Good morning, I've had a Locus Map Gold version for several years, and it's always worked great. Immediately after updating my Samsung S24 to Android 16, I started having a lot of problems. Recording occasionally freezes for no apparent reason, or it records a straight line.
I've tried all the settings you suggested, but the problem persists. Can you help me, because unfortunately, I'm thinking about switching apps. Thanks, Stefano Zanchi zanchi:stefano#yahoo.it

Hi,

please get Locus Map permission for all-time access to the location and exclude Locus Map from all means of battery optimization so that the app can run in the background, see http://docs.locusmap.eu/doku.php?id=manual:faq:gps_lost_fix_android6. Also, switch Google Services-assisted location off in Locus settings - GPS & sensors.

I followed the instructions and everything was already set up as indicated.

From tests I confirmed the loss of satellites for no apparent reason.

I have another phone, but with Android 13 and the same version of Locus (4.31.3 dated September 17, 2025), where the problem doesn't occur.

I therefore think there may be an issue between Android 16 and this version of Locus.

Do you have an update available? Do you have any new instructions for me?

I repeat, if the problem persists, I will be forced to cancel my subscription.

This isn't Locus' fault. Samsung made a mistake during the update. Information is available in the German forum.
